Public Programs
Our tours promote and encourage interest in nature conservation among the inhabitants and tourists who visit the refuge. These activities strengthen both the participant’s environmental education and the community’s regenerative tourism, which places the participants themselves as a resource for the transformation of the refuge.
With this type of activity, we not only seek that visitors reduce the negative environmental impacts they generate when they travel, but also their travels become a tool for the improvement and regeneration of local natural resources.
It is a tourism model whose objective is to achieve a symbiosis between nature, local communities, and visitors.
The pillars of regenerative tourism are:
Sustainable thinking
Use of renewable energies and application of circular economy principles.
A commitment to authenticity and innovation.
Improving governance, through a cross-cutting and participatory vision
Policies to offset the carbon footprint generated by tourism.
Limit the growth of mass tourism in protected areas.
Encourage cleanup and recovery projects for natural environments in which visitors can participate.
Support programs for the recovery of native species and endangered ecosystems.
With these activities we comply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 12 Responsible Production and Consumption, SDG 13 Climate Action, and SDG 11 Sustainable Cities.
